I was toying with the idea of "Family Tradgedies" for my Podcast. I have been working on a play currently called Dear, Love and its about a woman who is greiving her lost love while it causes her to have problems with her relationship with her current husband. This play is about healing and moving on. I have also recently have had issues with having my boyfriend in the hospital through two motorcycle accidents and am dealing with my aunt who has cancer. As a film student who is focusing on directing, I always find myself interested in the interactions between people and how to best portray the reality of deep emotion on camera, thus, I like to think about and analyze life senarios. Esepcially now, I think this idea I would have intimate and general knowledge I would love to pass on to people on how to get through these tough times and move forward and grow from these hard times.
This is the Word.
First, sorry to hear about stuff going on with your boyfriend and aunt. It's always hard to watch folks we love go through stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteAs for your topic, I like that it is personal to you and meaningful, but I think you'll want to focus it a bit. You may want a bit of research to ground your listener in the piece. Also, think about what the take-away value is for your listener. What do you want her to learn? Look at the questions I handed out to you with the assignment sheet. The ones on communities and cultures should help you focus a bit. Good start!
